Stages of Grief, 2014 16mm Film Loop

An offshoot from the project SIMULATION BEACH, Stages of Grief interleaves the 5 Stages of Grief described by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross in her eponymous book, with the image of a simulated fire, suggesting the conflict between the climacteric crucible into which we've crossed and the denialist politics that plague attempts to change course.
